1. The decision to close or delay school due to inclement weather will be made by the principal in consultation with local weather authorities and the school board.
2. The safety of students and staff is our top priority. If weather conditions pose a threat to their safety, such as icy roads or severe storms, school will be closed for the day.
3. Parents and staff will be notified of school closings or delays through the school's official communication channels, including email, text message, social media, and the school website.
4. School closings or delays will be announced by 6:00 am on the day in question, whenever possible, to allow families and staff to make alternative arrangements.
5. In the event of a delayed opening, school start times will be adjusted accordingly. Parents are responsible for ensuring that their children arrive at school safely and on time.
6. School closures may also occur during the school day if weather conditions deteriorate rapidly. In such cases, parents will be notified immediately and arrangements will be made for the safe dismissal of students.
7. If school is closed due to weather, all school activities, including after-school programs and extracurricular activities, will also be canceled.
8. While we strive to keep school open whenever possible, we will always prioritize the safety and well-being of our students and staff in making weather-related decisions. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
