I am thrilled to be your Executive Director once again and cannot wait to see all the amazing things we will accomplish together this year. As we gear up for the start of the school year, I am excited to share some great news with you. We have some new and exciting changes happening at our school, including the addition of three principals. Dr. Lisa Bloom will be overseeing the 9th and 10th grades, bringing a wealth of knowledge and experience to our school community.
As we prepare for the upcoming school year, I encourage you to enjoy the remaining days of your summer break and get ready to dive into a year filled with growth, learning, and success. Project Title: Walton High School Renovations
Introduction:
Walton High School is excited to announce a much-needed renovation project that will enhance the learning environment for our students and improve the overall aesthetic of our campus. The Walton High School Renovations will address several key areas to provide a modern and functional space for our students and staff.
Scope of Work:
1. Exterior Improvements:
- Renovation of façade and entrance to create a welcoming and impressive first impression
- Upgrading of outdoor athletic facilities, including the football field and track
- Installation of new landscaping and outdoor seating areas for student enjoyment
2. Classroom Upgrades:
- Renovation of classrooms to include modern technology and flexible seating arrangements
- Installation of new whiteboards, projectors, and sound systems for enhanced learning experiences
- Upgrading of lighting and flooring to create a bright and inviting learning environment
3. Common Areas:
- Renovation of the cafeteria to improve seating capacity and offer a variety of healthy food options
- Upgrade of restrooms and locker rooms to enhance student comfort and hygiene
- Creation of collaborative spaces for student gatherings and group projects
4. Safety and Security Enhancements:
- Installation of security cameras and keycard access systems to ensure the safety of students and staff

Miss Porter is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the higher grade levels, where she plays a pivotal role in fostering an environment conducive to academic excellence. Her dedication to ensuring that students achieve their fullest potential is evident in her meticulous approach to curriculum development and instructional strategies. By implementing innovative teaching methods and providing personalized support, she cultivates a rigorous academic atmosphere that challenges students while also nurturing their individual strengths. Miss Smith is responsible for overseeing all aspects related to Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and their scheduling, ensuring that each student's unique educational needs are met effectively. In addition to her IEP responsibilities, she plays a crucial role in guiding 12th-grade students through the college preparation process, which includes assisting them with their college applications. Her expertise in both areas allows her to provide comprehensive support to students, helping them navigate the complexities of their educational journeys. The high school staff comprises a dedicated team of educators and support personnel, each contributing to the academic and personal development of students. In Room 1, Miss Karen Fries serves as the primary teacher, supported by Assistant Teacher Miss Lisa Montgomery. Room 2 features Mr. Ronald Thompson and Miss Sheron Reed, while Room 3 is led by Miss Tamia Grant alongside Miss Trina Riceompson. The faculty continues with Miss Tina Gold and Miss Tyana Smith in Room 4, and Mr. Rick Horn with Miss Trina Rice in Room 5. Additionally, specialized instruction is provided by Miss Sylvia Pace in Computer Instruction and Mr. Bob Everett in Industrialized Instruction, ensuring that students receive a well-rounded education tailored to their needs. 2. The teaching staff extends further into Rooms 8 through 14, where Mr. Lilly Cole and Ms. Keyshia Richardson, as well as Ms. BerryRae and Miss Latoya Martin in Room 9, create an engaging learning environment. Room 10 is managed by Ms. Shanya Thomas and Ms. Jackie Price, while Room 11 features Ms. Erica Gold and Ms. Janet Thompson. In Room 12, Mr. Jim Wild collaborates with Ms. Stephine Price, and Room 13 is staffed by Ms. Linda Rice and Ms. Sharde Maxwell. Finally, Room 14 is overseen by Ms. Alex Smith and Ms. Victoria Price. The Physical Education department is led by Mr. Davis Smith and Ms. Tanya Davis, who play a crucial role in promoting physical health and wellness among students. Together, this diverse group of educators fosters a supportive and enriching atmosphere conducive to learning and growth.
The Behavioral Department is led by Kelly Green, who serves as the Lead Behavior Manager, overseeing the strategic direction and implementation of behavioral interventions within the organization. Supporting her are several dedicated professionals, including Bob Matthews, Harold Gold, and Linda Martin, each holding the title of Behavior Manager and contributing their expertise to address various behavioral challenges. Rodney Smith also plays a crucial role as a Behavior Manager, working collaboratively with the team to ensure that effective strategies are in place to support individuals in need. Additionally, Carrie Armstrong serves as a Substitute Teacher and Behavior Manager, providing flexible support and continuity in behavioral management during staff absences. Together, this team is committed to fostering a positive environment that promotes behavioral growth and development.
Kelly White serves as the Autism Program Manager, where she oversees the development and implementation of programs tailored to support individuals on the autism spectrum. Her role involves collaborating with educators, therapists, and families to create an inclusive environment that fosters growth and learning. Dean Micheal, in his capacity as the Emotional Support Program Manager, focuses on providing essential emotional and psychological support to students facing various challenges. He works closely with a team of counselors to design interventions that promote mental well-being and resilience among students. Meanwhile, Linda Mcwright, as the Lead Psychologist, plays a crucial role in assessing and addressing the psychological needs of the student population. Her expertise in psychological evaluation and intervention strategies ensures that students receive comprehensive care that is both effective and compassionate.
